The Egg at Empire State Plaza, Tanglewood, and Saratoga Performing Arts Center are an easy car ride from Brook Pointe. See popular national entertainers, jazz festivals, orchestra and ballet. Enjoy a day at the world-famous Saratoga Thoroughbred Race Course, or visit the modern and exciting Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Plenty of shopping and restaurants abound in downtown Saratoga Springs.

Museums/Interpretive Centers

The NY State Museum at the Empire State Plaza contains some of the best history, science and art exhibitions in NY State. Nearby, you will find the Saratoga National Historical Park, General Phillip Schuyler House and the Saratoga Monument recreating the Battle of Saratoga, known as the turning point of the American Revolution. The Pine Bush Preserve offers 3,350 acres of scenic trails, as well as the popular Discovery Center, featuring the rare Karner Blue butterfly.

Recreation

Henry Hudson and Papscanne Island Parks are a great choice for a nearby picnic, hike, canoe/kayak, as well as some fishing. The Empire State Rail Trail is only a mile away for a quick jog or walk.

Numerous specially boutiques and factory outlets are located throughout the region. Popular Malls, such as Crossgates and Colonie Center, are located just minutes from Brook Pointe. There are many other smaller plazas throughout nearby Albany. The nearby town of East Greenbush has grocery stores, such as Hannaford and Market 32, along with Stewarts Shops, CVS and Dunkin’ Donuts.
